Can resume references be family?

Many people ask the question can resume references be family?

And the simple answer to that question is YES!

Gone are the days when you couldn’t put a family member as a reference.

So, when you look at the meaning of the words resume references, it states

If you have worked in the family business, all your life (maybe a small corner shop) and now you have a job offer pending on references.

You have no choice but to use a family member because they are the only ones whom can verify your behavior,

Then I would not recommend putting a family member as a reference as you can you, in this case, other members of the organization.

Anyway, whatever the situation, you still need to prove to the employer that you can do your work and during the 3 or 6 months period of your probation. And during that time, you will be able to choose if the organization is right for you or not.

The best thing to do is when you are called for an interview, just spill it out on the table and let the employer know. And if the interview continues after you mention it then you are good, and the employer doesn’t really care.

All they want is someone to come in and do their work no matter their work history

The conclusion here is just being honest about your work history and believe in yourself

If you can’t justify it, do not put in on your resume because organizations are very clever
